We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform patient care and administrative tasks, including phlebotomy, clinical procedures, and clerical duties.
- Work directly with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- RMA, CMA, Paramedic Certification, or EMT-B certifications required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, and/or Corpsman preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience and electronic medical records experience preferred.
