Current Opening:

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Lead Chemical Process Engineer to join our team. The position operates on a standard schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Lead Chemical Process Engineer will undertake the responsibilities outlined in the following sections and will be classified as an Exempt employee.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify market opportunities and project prospects.
  • Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements.
  • Formulate a measurable customer value proposition for each initiative.
  • Examine client project specifications and ensure compliance levels are clear.
  • Design pilot testing protocols and actively participate in pilot testing operations.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals.
  • Implement process optimization techniques, including recycling, resource recovery, and crystallization purification strategies.
  • Conduct heat and material balance calculations, hydraulic assessments, and equipment selection.
  • Initiate technical data sheets for proposals and project turnover packages.
  • Collaborate with other engineering departments to develop designs.
  • Obtain and manage price quotations from vendors until project award.
  • Prepare cost estimates for thermal systems.
  • Support technical clarification meetings with clients and address inquiries related to proposals, budgets, and estimates.
  • Compile turnover packages for the project team upon project award, including associated budget costs.
  • Resolve budget discrepancies on awarded projects.
  • Provide technical data to process engineers as needed.
  • Gather information from vendors regarding new equipment and technologies.
  • Participate in design validation through pilot and laboratory testing.
  • Complete post-contract engineering tasks as required.
