Job Summary

Aquatech International is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Hartland, WI. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue project-specific mechanical design plans
  • Work on hydraulic calculations and flow diagrams for water and wastewater projects
  • Prepare piping specifications required for the project
  • Maintain plant 3D component database
  • Prepare specifications, datasheets, and requisitions for mechanical components
  • Review detailed design outputs
  • Attend internal progress review meetings and technical review meetings with customers
  • Interface with other engineering departments and the Aquatech assembly shop
  • Support queries from site and subcontractors
Requirements
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Five or more years of experience
  • Knowledge of piping codes ASME B31.1/31.3
  • Exposure to water treatment and wastewater treatment processes
  • Knowledge of plant engineering, layout considerations, and piping layouts
  • Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, and AWWA codes for pressure vessels, tanks, and structural design codes
  • Knowledge of hydraulic flow, pressure loss concepts in pipelines, and open channel flows
  • Exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD 2D/Plant 3D preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel-based spreadsheets
