Job Overview

As a vital member of the Maintenance Road Crew, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the integrity of passenger facilities across the transit system. This encompasses the upkeep of bus stops, shelters equipped with waste receptacles, train stations, park and ride locations, restrooms, and transportation hubs. Additionally, you will be tasked with snow and ice removal from these facilities. In this role, you will operate and maintain a variety of equipment including snow removal machinery, large dump trucks and trailers, high-pressure steam equipment, street sweepers, grounds maintenance tools, and sign installation apparatus.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of passenger facilities.
  • Operate snow removal and other maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct light maintenance tasks and manage biohazard clean-up as required.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of one year of verifiable experience in maintenance or heavy equipment operation is required.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and sign installation equipment is essential.
  • Must pass the required DOT physical and obtain a DOT card.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL is mandatory.
  • Safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • No convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs within the last ten years.
  • Ability to complete all necessary safety training, including Fork Lift Certification.
  • Must pass the Facilities MET test.
  • Willingness to work overtime and holidays as needed.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Shift Details

Work hours are from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekends off, subject to change.


Compensation

The pay rate is $25.07 per hour, with guaranteed increases every six months for the next five years, reaching up to $30.07 per hour, plus a potential shift differential of $1.00 to $1.50.
