Position Overview

As a vital member of the Maintenance Road Crew, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the integrity of passenger facilities across the transit system. This encompasses the upkeep of various locations such as bus stops, shelters equipped with waste receptacles, train stations, park and ride areas, restrooms, and transportation hubs. Additionally, you will be tasked with the removal of snow and ice from these facilities, ensuring safe access for all users.

In this role, you will operate and maintain a range of equipment, including but not limited to: snow removal machinery, large dump trucks and trailers, high-pressure steam equipment, street sweepers, and grounds maintenance tools. You will also be assigned various light maintenance duties and will be responsible for the cleanup of biohazards.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of one year of verifiable experience in a relevant maintenance or heavy equipment operation field is required.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and sign post installation equipment.
  • Ability to pass the necessary DOT physical and obtain a DOT card.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL.
  • Safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • No convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs within the last ten years.
  • Capability to complete all required safety training related to Facilities Maintenance, including Fork Lift Certification.
  • Ability to pass the Facilities MET test.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on holidays as required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
This position demands regular and reliable attendance.- OR - An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Work Schedule: 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekends off*
* Schedule and days off are subject to change.

Compensation: $25.07 per hour with guaranteed pay increases every six months for the next five years, reaching up to $30.07 per hour, plus a shift differential of $1.00 to $1.50 if applicable.
