Job Overview

As a vital member of the Maintenance Road Crew, your role will involve the upkeep of passenger facilities across the transit system. Responsibilities include the maintenance of bus stops, shelters equipped with garbage receptacles, train stations, park and ride lots, restrooms, and transportation hubs. Additionally, you will be tasked with snow and ice removal from these facilities. In this capacity, you will operate and maintain various types of equipment, including snow removal machinery, large dump trucks and trailers, high-pressure steam equipment, street sweepers, groundskeeping tools, and sign installation apparatus. Light maintenance tasks and biohazard clean-up will also be part of your duties.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE

  • At least one year of verifiable experience in a relevant maintenance or heavy equipment operation field is required.Required:
    • Proficient use of hand tools and sign installation equipment.
    • Ability to pass the necessary DOT physical and obtain a DOT card.
    • Possession of a valid Class A CDL.
    • Safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
    • No convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the last ten years.
    • Capability to complete all required safety training, including Fork Lift Certification.
    • Ability to pass the Facilities MET test.
    • Willingness to work overtime and holidays as needed.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    This position requires regular and predictable attendance.

Shift: 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekends off*
* Shift and days off are subject to change.

Compensation: $25.07 per hour with guaranteed pay increases every six months for the next five years, reaching up to $30.07 per hour, plus a shift differential of $1.00 to $1.50 if applicable.
