About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Lead Teacher - Mathematics to join our team at KIPP Delta. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a critical role in helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and character strengths needed to succeed in their education and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development and Instruction
    • Develop and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
    • Design and implement academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments that promote student learning and growth.
    • Use data to inform instructional decisions and provide students with daily feedback on their performance.
    • Plan for individual learning needs and provide targeted support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Building a Positive School and Classroom Culture
    • Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff, and establish strong communication with all parents.
    • Participate in school-wide and individual professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrating a Growth Mindset
    • Pursue challenging professional goals each year and seek opportunities for growth and development.
    • Give and receive positive and constructive feedback with colleagues, and participate in school-wide and individual professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid Arkansas teaching license or willingness to pursue state certification, if needed
  • Meet Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) status by demonstrated content knowledge in the Core Academic subject area being taught
  • Passing scores on the PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II exams in the content area hired for or commitment to completing both tests within two months of hiring date
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
