Impact on Patient Care:
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with a background in acute care, specifically in Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. Our dedicated team serves a diverse community, providing essential healthcare services.

As part of our Advanced Practice Providers, you will collaborate with DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) to deliver comprehensive health assessments and treatments for patients of all ages. Our model emphasizes delivering high-quality care directly in the home, allowing for timely interventions and thorough follow-up.

Our approach includes performing point-of-care laboratory tests, minor procedures, and various therapeutic interventions, ensuring patients receive the care they need in a comfortable setting.


Key Responsibilities:


Work collaboratively within a clinical care team and independently, as needed, to provide in-home healthcare services. This role involves traveling to patient locations using a company vehicle.

Conduct thorough health evaluations, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions.


Implement therapeutic procedures, including wound care, suturing, and splinting.


Utilize critical thinking and adhere to evidence-based practices.


Document patient interactions accurately and ensure continuity of care through effective follow-up.


Educate patients and their families on managing acute illnesses and overall health.


Facilitate discussions regarding end-of-life care and treatment goals.


Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.


Proactively identify and resolve challenges in patient care.


Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards while providing compassionate care.


Foster positive relationships with DHMT partners and remote healthcare teams.


Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to enhance professional development.


Exemplify professionalism and represent DispatchHealth positively.


Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in relevant fields such as Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine.

Possess an advanced degree from an accredited institution.

Hold a current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

National board certification is required.

Current BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.

Must have prescriptive authority and DEA registration.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and navigate multiple flights of stairs.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
