Job Overview

The Manufacturing Assembly Associate plays a crucial role in the assembly and preparation of products for distribution. Responsibilities include loading raw materials into manufacturing machines, packaging completed products, organizing items for shipment, and conducting quality checks on equipment and products to ensure they meet production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to safety protocols as outlined.
  2. Report any hazardous conditions to management.
  3. Follow operational instructions, quality guidelines, and production standards.
  4. Engage professionally with colleagues.
  5. Collaborate with team members as required.
  6. Work overtime when necessary.
  7. Interpret routing and execute tasks as directed by the department supervisor.
  8. Handle, manipulate, and assemble materials to create sub-assemblies or finished products from raw materials.
  9. Utilize manual tools as directed to complete tasks.
  10. Position products in machinery or on work surfaces for further processing, inspection, or packaging.
  11. Attach necessary labels and tags to products and packaging.
  12. Package finished goods appropriately into designated boxes.
  13. Operate production machinery as instructed.
  14. Monitor production schedules on tracking boards.
  15. Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  16. Observe machinery operations to identify malfunctions and notify operators of any issues.
  17. Inform supervisors of any mechanical or material concerns.
  18. Sort finished goods into designated containers according to packing specifications.
  19. Separate products based on weight, grade, size, or material composition.
  20. Dispose of scrap materials properly during shifts.
  21. Complete daily production reports.
  22. Fill out hourly quality assurance reports.
  23. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S procedures.

Supervision:

This position is supervised.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Prior experience is not required.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing is preferred.

General Requirements:

  • Availability to work from Monday to Friday.
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on approach.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent standing, lifting, carrying, and reaching in non-climate-controlled environments for extended periods.
  • Manufacturing plant setting.

Equipment Utilization:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Familiarity with SSW machinery.
