**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. You will oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Quality Focus**: Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure quality at the source in production and finishing processes.
- **Technical Expertise**: Possess working knowledge of paint robotics, fluid control systems, spray guns, electrostatic bells, and other paint application equipment.

- **Insourcing Initiatives**: Support technical expertise for insourcing initiatives.
- **Manufacturing Techniques**: Familiar with current manufacturing techniques, including tooling, welding, robotic automation, metal stamping, assembly, and testing.
- **Innovation**: Develop innovative solutions to streamline operations and remain current with state-of-the-art technologies and practices.
- **Process Analysis**: Analyze complex production and processes to plan the arrangement of machines within plant facilities for efficient and productive layouts.
- **Equipment Utilization**: Evaluate existing equipment utilization and develop future state plans to achieve long-term strategic goals.
- **Process Knowledge**: Provide process knowledge to major capital projects, cost take-out initiatives, and NPI introduction projects.
- **Root Cause Analysis**: Conduct root cause analysis for rejected or faulty parts using the 8D or A3 problem-solving process.
- **Data Analysis**: Gather data and analyze existing processes for cost savings, reliability, and performance improvement opportunities.
- **Equipment Specification**: Specify new equipment and determine tooling requirements.
- **Tooling Design**: Support tooling design and implementation.
- **Fabrication**: Direct the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- **Technical Resource**: Serve as a technical resource and manufacturing liaison to Supply Management and New Product Development for new and existing parts, products, and processes.
- **Project Management**: Manage resources and monitor the status of projects to achieve or exceed targeted outcomes.
- **Collaboration**: Work in conjunction with multiple departments within local sites as well as corporate teams to implement process changes and suggest identified opportunities for improvement.
**Position Supervised or Directed**
Reports to Engineering Manager
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Engineering/Technology degree or equivalent work experience.
- Process Engineering: 3 years (Required).
- Senior level for Co-Op or internship * Experience in Factory Automation.
- Ability to analyze difficult and complex engineering systems and render clear interpretation and direction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to take the initiative, provide leadership, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.

- Requires physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods.
