Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at Connecticut State Community College. This is a tenure-track position that requires a strong background in manufacturing technology and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement degree and certificate programs in advanced manufacturing, including non-credit courses and industry partnerships.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate instructors and staff in the advanced manufacturing program.
  • Ensure the quality of instruction and learning outcomes for students in the advanced manufacturing program.
  • Manage the budget and resources for the advanced manufacturing program.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the advanced manufacturing program.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field and 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing technology and education, or a bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations and to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
  • Strong knowledge of industry accreditation procedures and strategies.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Ability to evaluate and assess program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Well-developed connections to manufacturing companies and industry partners.
  • Experience with credit and non-credit program curriculum, scheduling, and certification pathways.
  • Experience with student internship placements and securing employment.
