Key Responsibilities:
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of classified computing environments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.
- Conducting audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Developing and implementing security plans.
- Providing education and training on information systems security.
- Assisting in the investigation of security incidents and preparing detailed reports.
Collaboration:
You will work closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and engage with various stakeholders, including security teams, program personnel, and government representatives, to ensure a cohesive approach to security management.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
- Experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or compliance auditing.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
