Key Responsibilities:
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of classified computing environments. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Ensuring compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.
  2. Conducting audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
  3. Developing and implementing security plans.
  4. Providing education and training on information systems security.
  5. Assisting in the investigation of security incidents and preparing detailed reports.

Collaboration:
You will work closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and engage with various stakeholders, including security teams, program personnel, and government representatives, to ensure a cohesive approach to security management.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or compliance auditing.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and incident response management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
