At LHH Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our clients on a direct hire basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both accounts payable and accounts receivable, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, reviewing and verifying invoices and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies. They will also prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies and issues related to AP and AR transactions, maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records, generate and distribute financial reports related to AP and AR activities, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and accuracy.
  • Review and verify invoices and payment requests to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or issues.
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to AP and AR transactions, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Generate and distribute financial reports related to AP and AR activities, providing valuable insights and intelligence.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • A proven track record of resolving issues and discrepancies effectively, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
