Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Parts Counter Sales Consultant to join our team at Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC.

This is a full-time individual contributor role with a competitive base salary plus commission structure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving sales by assisting customers with their automotive part needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers who visit the Parts Counter, providing them with excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries they may have.
  • Listen to customers' needs and recommend appropriate parts or products to meet their requirements.
  • Process orders for parts and products, utilizing the dealership's computer system and following proper procedures.
  • Conduct inventory checks and retrieve parts from the warehouse as needed.
  • Keep track of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Parts Counter area, restocking shelves and keeping inventory levels up-to-date.
  • Continuously update knowledge of current trends, new products, and inventory levels in order to provide knowledgeable and accurate assistance to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as Service and Sales, to ensure timely and efficient completion of customer orders.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and quotas set by management.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in the Auto industry and/or parts sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computer and internet usage.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
