Job Summary

Top Notch Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Plant Manager to support the Plant Manager in overseeing plant operations and driving a culture of positivity and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a comprehensive understanding of production management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Support: Assist the Plant Manager in coordinating daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and production targets are consistently achieved.
  • Inventory Management: Help manage inventory effectively to ensure the availability of necessary materials while minimizing waste and costs.
Workflow Optimization
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate with production team leads to enhance workflow and operational efficiency, encouraging input and feedback from all team members.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Support the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
Quality Assurance
  • Quality Control: Assist in maintaining high standards of quality control, ensuring that all products meet company and industry standards.
  • Corrective Actions: Proactively implement corrective actions for quality issues and actively seek opportunities for ongoing improvement.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Production Metrics: Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Insightful Reporting: Generate insightful reports to provide the Plant Manager with recommendations for operational improvements.
Resource Management
  • Equipment and Materials: Help manage plant resources, including equipment, materials, and manpower, ensuring efficient alignment with production demands.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance team to guarantee that equipment is maintained and operates optimally.
Interdepartmental Coordination
  • Logistics and Quality: Foster collaboration between logistics, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless communication and production flow.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Promote cross-functional teamwork to proactively address and resolve operational challenges.
Employee Management
  • Leadership and Motivation: Lead, motivate, and inspire production team members, fostering a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop team members, promoting their professional growth and skill enhancement through constructive feedback and support.
Safety and Compliance
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Safe Working Environment: Champion a safe working environment, addressing any safety concerns promptly and effectively.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist with administrative tasks, including data analysis, report generation, and documentation management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Production Management: Strong understanding of production management, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
