Maintenance Planner Job Description

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in the maintenance organization, responsible for managing, creating, and updating maintenance planning strategies to ensure effective and optimal use of maintenance budgets. This involves developing standards and procedures for maintaining assets, conducting improvement analyses, reviewing maintenance planning strategies, and monitoring performance data.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement maintenance planning strategies to optimize maintenance budgets and asset performance.
  2. Collaborate with maintenance team leaders, operations team leaders, and quality personnel to ensure effective maintenance execution.
  3. Analyze maintenance and asset performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted maintenance and lifecycle replacement strategies.
  4. Prepare and maintain KPI reporting for Maintenance Planning & Scheduling attainment.
  5. Coach and mentor Maintenance Planners across business units.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze and interpret maintenance and asset performance data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement maintenance planning strategies.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and asset management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of CMMS database systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
