Job Summary:

The Dietitian Specialist 2 plays a crucial role in providing specialized nutrition services to patients, including inpatient and outpatient assessments, and implementing effective intervention strategies to improve nutritional outcomes. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized plans to address their nutritional needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement evidence-based nutrition interventions, ensuring seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their nutrition and health.
  • Participate in out-patient group nutrition classes, individual appointments, and in-services to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Mentor and educate dietitians, dietetic technicians, and diet aides to enhance their skills and knowledge, driving performance excellence and quality care.
  • Consult with interns, residents, and attending physicians to provide expert nutrition guidance and support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field.
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience, with a strong focus on patient care and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
