- Create engaging and informative headlines.
- Collaborate with reporters and fellow editors to maintain consistency in tone, style, and quality across all content.
- Deliver meticulous, high-quality work within established deadlines.
- Operate independently while recognizing the importance of communication and collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Follow the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics and The Epoch Times style standards.
- Work schedule includes evenings and weekends.
- Proficient understanding of AP style.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in style and content.
- Sound editorial judgment.
- Capability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain high standards in detail-oriented work.
- A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in newsroom environments, including print or digital publication editing, copy editing, or reporting.
