Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

Farmer Focus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate with all departments and sales to ensure efficient shipping and loading of trucks on assigned shifts.
  • Oversee or perform administrative duties, preparing necessary paperwork for accurate billing of orders and correct inventories.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while maintaining customer specifications.
  • Direct a team of employees, ensuring compliance with all food safety programs and enforcing Shenandoah Valley Organic's policies.
  • Manage employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback.
  • Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and employee involvement.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • 3 or more years of previous Shipping Lead or supervisor experience.
  • Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
  • Previous leadership skills with 5 or more employees.
  • Effective communication both orally and in writing.
  • Capable of independent decision making.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment:

Will be required to access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
