Principal/Senior Principal Engineer NDT Specialist

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal/Senior Principal Engineer NDT to join our team of experts in the Mission Assurance organization. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Job Summary:The Principal/Senior Principal Engineer NDT will be responsible for performing in-field Non-Destructive Inspection of aircraft, inspecting composite aerospace components, and other energetic and non-energetic articles. The candidate will develop and implement unique non-destructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures, working with design, project, and quality engineers through the development process to select and implement the best NDT method to ensure product quality at lowest cost.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform in-field Non-Destructive Inspection of aircraft
- Inspect composite aerospace components and other energetic and non-energetic articles
- Develop and implement unique non-destructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures
- Work with design, project, and quality engineers to select and implement the best NDT method
- Ensure product quality at lowest cost
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, with 5+ years as a Ultrasonic Level III or High school diploma with 9 years of experience with 5 years as a Ultrasonic Level III
- Ability to obtain and maintain Active DoD Clearance per business requirements and the ability to obtain Special Program Access
- Must be able to work any shift
- Phased-Array or MAUS experience
- Multiple Level III ASNT certification
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Special Program Access
$88,600 - $133,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
