As the Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall sales performance and profitability of the Scout Shop. Your role will involve building strong relationships with local councils and camps, ensuring that our store meets its operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of Sales Associates to enhance sales and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Train and develop staff to become knowledgeable product specialists.
- Oversee daily store operations, including staff scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Manage inventory effectively to meet sales demands.
- Implement visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of Sales staff.
- Provide timely updates and reports to the Territory Sales Supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in retail management.
- At least 3 years of experience in retail sales.
- Strong customer service and leadership capabilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with the Scouting Program is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret financial reports and Profit & Loss Statements.
- Strong ethical standards and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Compensation: Starting hourly pay rate is $20.00.
