Position Summary


We are looking for a CT Imaging Technologist PRN to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our patients.

Job Responsibilities


To maintain a safe, efficient, and pleasant work environment while assisting the Director, Manager, Medical Director, and Physicist in overseeing the operations of the medical imaging department, including procedures, treatments, quality improvement, quality control, and radiation safety support.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in various areas within the scope of training and experience of the CT Imaging Technologist.
  • Support physicians during invasive procedures.
  • Assist the Physician in diagnostic imaging.

  • Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and encourage cooperation.
  • Meet 80% turnaround time goals.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Operate mobile equipment in various clinical settings.
  • Position patients on examination tables and adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Ensure a safe environment for the administration of contrast materials.
  • Report any changes in patient status to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete competency testing annually.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and emergency areas.
Qualifications:


Current ARRT certification and licensure with the Texas Medical Board are required. Current BLS certification is also necessary.

Graduation from an accredited Technologist program (ARRT) is essential.

A minimum of two years of experience in a hospital imaging department, with at least one year in CT, is preferred.
