Your Role

As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and guidance to our employees and facility, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, and production objectives while driving the growth of the site through the commissioning of new production lines and enhancing overall facility performance.

Your Contributions
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives to identify root causes and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Discover and capitalize on opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and minimize waste and production costs.
  • Support safety initiatives and promote a culture of behavioral-based safety observations.
  • Oversee the startup of new or modified processes, developing operational guidelines and standard operating procedures to meet targeted objectives.
  • Assess and evaluate new equipment types, designs, and configurations.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the integration of new product releases into manufacturing processes.
  • Reinforce best practices in safety and food safety principles while achieving productivity, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage multiple projects, providing timely updates and results.
  • Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturers to develop cost-effective production processes.
  • Incorporate new technologies or environmentally friendly practices into existing operations.
  • Conduct efficiency and accuracy tests on systems to ensure a quality and cost-effective production process.
  • Analyze process trends to identify improvement opportunities and present data-driven solutions.
  • Work alongside professionals such as scientists, R&D managers, and engineers on development and research projects.
  • Assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Be available during nights, weekends, and holidays to manage project work and respond to emergencies.
Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of:
    • Manufacturing, production, and packaging machinery and facilities.
    • Equipment standards and fabrication methods in the food sector.
    • Industrial automation and control systems.
    • Ability to prepare project justifications, timelines, and cost estimates.
    • Capacity to collaborate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
    • Experience in managing contractors efficiently.
    • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Self-motivated problem solver eager to implement positive changes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach to tasks.
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of production measurement effectiveness, including WIP, product quality, critical control points, and relevant metrics.
  • Ability to provide process support at any time.
  • Experience in identifying, evaluating, and managing vendors and contractors.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a process engineering role within the food, beverage, or chemical industries.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple projects in a manufacturing environment.
