Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

TLC Nursing is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in CVOR for an exciting opportunity.
Position Overview:
A Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a cardiovascular surgical environment. This position demands advanced knowledge and proficiency in cardiovascular surgery and perioperative nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients prior to surgical procedures to ascertain their health requirements and formulate tailored care plans.
- Instrumentation and Equipment Management: Prepare and sustain the operating room, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Intraoperative Patient Care: Deliver direct care during surgical operations, which includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing any urgent situations that may arise.
- Postoperative Care: Oversee patients' recovery post-surgery, monitoring vital signs, alleviating pain, and identifying potential complications.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Maintaining Medical Records: Accurately document patient care activities and maintain up-to-date medical records.
- Education and Training: Engage in continuous professional development to remain informed about the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgery and perioperative practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid RN license and have substantial experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting. Essential qualities include strong clinical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure. Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical techniques and a solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology are highly advantageous.
This is a contracted travel position with flexible hours, designed for those seeking a dynamic work environment.
