Medical Assistant I or II Podiatry Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant I or II to join our Podiatry team at Billings Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of patient care and treatment, providing clerical and administrative support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, and other departmental personnel to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for examinations and procedures, adhering to Billings Clinic's exam and procedure room cleaning guidelines.
- Assist with patient scheduling, registration, and collection of co-pays, as well as screen incoming telephone calls for referrals to nurses, physicians, and APPs.
- Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to organizational standards.
- Compile statistical data for reports, attend required meetings, and participate in committees as requested.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment, obtaining and recording history and vital signs, and assisting with minor procedures and physical exams.
- Clean and disinfect equipment, administer vaccines, and provide instruction to patients as directed by physicians, APPs, or department policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet departmental and organizational requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of related work experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Successful completion of department orientation, skills competencies, and 54 LMS modules within six months of hire.
- Required to obtain certification or registration within 15 months of hire through organizations approved by Billings Clinic.
