Automation Engineer II

As a key member of the Direct Automation team, you will play a critical role in supporting customers and project teams in Process Automation. This position requires a strong understanding of process controls, including the ability to identify parameters and understand measurable outcomes of hazards.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of process controls, including understanding the process and identifying parameters.
- Develop and implement control methodologies in DCS, PLC, or HMI platforms with a strong understanding of programming languages.
- Design and implement control system architecture, including hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking equipment.
- Lead loop checking, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning support in an industrial environment.
- Write functional requirements based on expected functionality, including control loops, interlocks, and alarms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree or Associates Degree in a related field.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Three to six years of experience in an Industrial Controls Engineering environment.
