Job Summary

The successful candidate will manage and optimize the supply chain process, ensuring that materials, equipment, and products move smoothly and efficiently from suppliers to end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including procurement, warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of biotech materials, equipment, and finished products.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components, while maintaining strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all logistics processes comply with industry regulations such as GMP, GDP, and FDA standards. Oversee proper documentation for shipments, including import/export documentation.
  • Cold Chain Management: Ensure the proper handling, storage, and transportation of temperature-sensitive biotech materials, maintaining cold chain integrity.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement processes to ensure materials and products are available when needed while avoiding excess stock.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and troubleshoot issues such as delivery delays, damaged goods, or vendor-related problems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to align logistics with the company's overall objectives.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and deliveries, and prepare regular reports for management to track performance and optimize processes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or greater in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CLTD) are a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably in the biotech or life sciences sector.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Ability: Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, including import/export regulations, transportation modes, and inventory management. Proficiency in MRP systems (preferably Odoo).
