Job Summary

">We are seeking a highly skilled Counselor Intern to join our team at Eva's Village. As a Counselor Intern, you will provide counseling and therapy services to adults afflicted with the disease of substance abuse and/or dependence.">

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">

  • Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, perform counseling and therapy sessions with clients in accordance with applicable program policies and procedures.

    ">

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include measurable goals and objectives.

    ">

  • Facilitate psycho-education classes, group therapy, support groups, and individual counseling as assigned.

    ">

  • Participate in case conferences with the multidisciplinary treatment team to determine the best course of treatment for clients.

    ">

  • Provide discharge planning and link clients with additional community services as needed.

    ">

  • Maintain up-to-date client files and participate in program data collection.

    ">

  • Assist clients with legal issues, schedule fine payments, rescind warrants, and reschedule court dates as necessary.

    ">

  • Perform crisis intervention when necessary.

    ">

  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

    ">

  • College enrollment preferred, LAC/LSW preferred.

    ">

  • Enrolled in a course of study leading to certification as a CADC or Licensed as an LCADC.

Salary Information:

">

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Educational Background:

Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to complete bio-psycho-social assessments for substance abuse/dependence.

  • Knowledge of 12-Step Program, AA, NA.

    ">

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    ">

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    ">

  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
