Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Client Manager, Commercial Risk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel to deliver a high level of service and promote a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files in our Agency Management System, ensuring proper documentation and communication in accordance with company workflows and procedures.
- Compose professional business correspondence via letter, email, and other means to communicate with clients and stakeholders.
- Perform accounting and math-related functions, including invoicing, premium allocation, and other tasks as necessary.
- Monitor claims and communicate information to others in the agency, maintaining up-to-date claims information in the system.
- Interact with clients and stakeholders effectively, utilizing good communication skills and providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Attend client meetings with the Advisor or Director Risk Management, as requested.
- Assist coworkers in responding to client inquiries and processing work, as needed.
- Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts, including policy review, changes, and updates, contract review, and certificate processing.
- Assist clients via telephone and email, relaying information and following up for timely service.
- Counsel and advise clients on coverage and exposure, recommending and placing additional coverage as needed.
- Actively seek out referrals from the current client base to solicit new business prospects and follow up to generate new business using our prospect database and automation system.
- Cultivate strong relationships with insurance company partners and stay up-to-date on carrier requirements and attributes.
- Look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes, bringing issues and discrepancies to the attention of leadership.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills through verbal and written communications.
- Have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other insurance company and firm software programs.
- Demonstrate the firm's core values and exhibit behavior aligned with our corporate culture.
- Obtain and maintain a state insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance, to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions in states where the firm operates.
- Have 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager role.
This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment that requires travel as needed.
