As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing the test firing of rocket engines, programming, setting up, and operating data acquisition DAQ systems for hot fire testing of liquid rocket engines.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Execute the test firing of rocket engines, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Program, set up, and operate data acquisition DAQ systems for hot fire testing of liquid rocket engines, including calibration of test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Perform complex assignments involving the set up and running of data acquisition (DAQ) systems and data reduction software.
  • Contribute practical solutions to problems that may arise while completing assigned tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Perform data reduction of hot fire tests, analyzing results to inform future testing and development.
  • Determine proper connection of test cell instruments to the DAQ, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
  • Set up and verify test cell instrumentation systems, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Perform complex modification and repair of electronic systems and components, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Clean, repair, calibrate, and operate gages, transducers, flow meters, and force systems, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Work to controlled documentation, procedures, and drawings, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Occasionally work in and around rocket test cells, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

**Requirements**

  • Strong technical knowledge of rocket engine testing and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data reduction software and analysis, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality control.
