Perioperative Team Lead Opportunity

About the Role
The Director of Surgical Services is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the perioperative team and ensuring safe patient care while effectively managing operations. This role requires 24/7 responsibility for the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement solutions to problems affecting the service, ensuring effective communication and follow-through.
- Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication to represented groups.
- Advance the customer experience in Surgical Services, focusing on quality and satisfaction.
- Coach subordinates through feedback, constructive critique, and individual development plans, documenting job performance.
- Adhere to all Human Resource policies, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff, promoting transparency and understanding.
- Foster evidence-based employee engagement practices, promoting a positive work environment.
- Build strong relationships and networks to deliver organizational and departmental goals, driving success.
- Participate in employee and patient rounding, identifying and mentoring potential future leaders.
- Enforce standards of care for surgical services, developing processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program, ensuring quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.
- Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
- Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.
