The essential duties of the Senior Tax Specialist include:
- Gathering, analyzing, and processing financial data to prepare tax returns and related documentation.
- Collaborating with various departments to collect necessary information for tax filings.
- Conducting detailed reviews of general ledger accounts.
- Researching and interpreting tax regulations and strategies.
- Keeping abreast of changes in tax legislation.
- Assisting with federal and state income tax audits, including preparing responses to inquiries.
- Supporting special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintaining organized records of electronic filings.
- Preparing non-income tax submissions.
- Enhancing job knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
- Upholding professional and ethical standards in all business dealings.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or two years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Master's degree; experience with a Big 4 CPA firm; CPA Certification or in progress.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
