Medical Assistant Non Certified

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Non Certified to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the examination, treatment, and care of patients
- Answer phones, make appointments, and obtain insurance authorizations for tests/surgeries
- Obtain patients' records and perform intake procedures, including vital signs and patient history
- Perform POCT procedures as trained and instructed
- Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and instrumentation
- Order medical supplies and document incidents according to hospital policies
- Ensure patient information is scanned and medical records are complete and accurate
- Transport patients to other areas in the hospital as needed
- Perform administrative duties, including filing, faxing, copying, and scheduling appointments
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of medical office experience preferred
- BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
