Job Title: Registered Nurse - 32-Hour Evenings - Float Pool

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in our Chelsea, Massachusetts location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide patient care according to the philosophy and standards of the Department of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care according to the plan of care, utilizing appropriate clinical skills and integrating the nursing process.
  • Function as a clinical resource for patients, providing direction and support to ensure a focus on team goals and patient-driven outcomes.
  • Delegate duties to other caregivers as required and provide appropriate supervision.
  • Complete nursing assessments accurately and timely, develop and implement plans of care that reflect patient needs and goals, and provide nursing care that is evaluated and modified to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Document patient care per established standards, administer medications safely and according to professional standards of practice and nursing policies and procedures, and transcribe or acknowledge doctors' orders as needed.
  • Coordinate nursing care activities with other care team members to facilitate achievement of patient goals, assess patient education needs, and provide education related to the disease process, underlying disability, medication, and preparation for discharge.
  • Mentor and teach healthcare team members as needed, actively participate in team conferences and meetings to achieve stated goals, and complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Preferred: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, previous RN experience, and highly developed communications and interpersonal skills.
