Position Summary

The Medication Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy operations. This position is vital for maintaining patient safety and enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals in hospice settings.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, with weekend rotations required after training completion.

Essential Qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician.



Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, access, and verify data within pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive patient profiles, including medication histories.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff.
  • Support operational efficiency by achieving high productivity levels and minimizing errors.
  • Maintain and update formulary documents and related tools.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in data entry.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems.
  • Understanding of standard pharmacy practices and procedures.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, particularly in telephone interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a dynamic work environment.
  • Collaborative approach to working with pharmacy teams and support staff.
  • Flexibility in work scheduling.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current and valid Pharmacy Technician License with the State Board (Certification preferred).
