Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator for Ophthalmic Imaging embodies the core values and mission of Northwestern Memorial. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with the organization's ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the imaging and procedural staff within the department.
  • Engage in performance development and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and report significant trends and issues to management.
  • Participate in discussions regarding staffing decisions.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and training processes for new employees.
  • Supervise specialized imaging procedures to support clinical diagnostic efforts.
  • Coordinate schedules and manage daily assignments for imaging staff, ensuring optimal coverage.
  • Stay informed about advancements in ophthalmic imaging and recommend improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff.
  • Ensure the maintenance and functionality of imaging equipment, managing inventory effectively.
  • Collaborate with clinic leadership to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in management meetings to discuss operational strategies.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of data collection and entry through effective training and oversight.
  • Uphold leadership and communication standards that prioritize patient care.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through effective leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare field.
  • Prior experience as an ophthalmic photographer.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare practice.
  • Certification as a Certified Retinal Angiographer.
