About the Role:

The Escrow Officer is responsible for overseeing the closing process, ensuring all parties are informed and satisfied. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing escrow processes from start to finish.
  • Preparing Closing Disclosures and ATLA Settlement Statements in accordance with CFPB/TRID and RESPA guidelines.
  • Reviewing documents such as surveys, sale purchase contracts, and preliminary title reports.
  • Opening pipeline files in a timely manner and ordering required documents.
  • Collaborating with the title department to clear title defects.
  • Effectively managing a large pipeline while maintaining time frame requirements and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Preparing title/escrow company documents for closings and ensuring accuracy.
  • Fluently understanding standard terminology in the title industry.
  • Collecting taxes, HOAs, and delinquencies associated with the purchase property.
  • Completing the closing and funding process, including obtaining funding numbers, copying closing packages, and disbursing funds.
  • Filing recordable documents via e-recording and sending files for title policy preparation.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience working on a builder account and handling escrow/closings.
  • Knowledge of Title industry software, SoftPro a plus.
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills.
  • Multitasking skills.
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal peers and external business partners.
