Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Atrium Health Charlotte. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapeutic procedures, including oxygen delivery and ventilator support, to achieve adequate oxygenation and respiratory function.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilators, and be aware of critical care duties and effects of such therapy.
  • Evaluate current therapies using appropriate judgment and protocols, making proper recommendations concerning plans of care and patient education needs.
  • Document therapy and results as required by hospital, department, and regulatory agencies, and communicate information to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
  • Work independently in all patient care areas and assist co-workers with patient care whenever possible, and be proficient in the electronic medical records and its interface with the Respiratory Care Department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
  • Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association.
