Job Overview

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and in accordance with client specifications.


Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor construction activities on-site.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and document all construction processes.
  • Be available for night and weekend work as required.
  • Interpret and analyze design plans and specifications effectively.
  • Perform quantity assessments and manage Time and Material (T&M) tracking.
  • Compile daily reports detailing work performed, crew size, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies during inspections and documentation.
  • Engage with contractors to assist in preparing payment estimates and change orders.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel, for documentation and reporting.
  • Manage safety protocols and traffic control measures to align with project plans and standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Railroad Construction or related highway/bridge construction.
  • Experience in managing significant highway and bridge projects valued over $3 million.

We value responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adherence to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.

Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies is essential.

Successful completion of WSP's Motor Vehicle screening is required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as ACI, OSHA 10 or 30, Railroad Safety Training, NICET Level II/III in a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

This position is contingent upon client approval of candidates submitted by WSP.
