Job Overview

Astec Industries is seeking a skilled Cycle Counter to join our team at our Franklin Blvd location. As a Cycle Counter, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts of stock, identifying inconsistencies, and recording authorized cycle count results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled physical audits of inventory within specific company areas and generate detailed count reports.
  • Reconcile outcomes from physical counts with system-generated records.
  • Identify underlying reasons for count discrepancies and proactively engage with other departments to address the issue and prevent future occurrences.
  • Input validated cycle count adjustments into the ERP system.
  • Analyze count discrepancies independently and propose corrective action plans.
  • Play a crucial role in preparing for and executing annual physical inventory audits.
  • Compile comprehensive reports on inventory adjustments and other pertinent data as requested by Accounting, Material Planners, Supply Chain, etc.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2+ years' experience in product distribution and warehousing with logistics and supply chain management experience preferred.
  • Follow and actively support all company policies and procedures, to include a primary emphasis on safe operations.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Flexible and adaptable in coping with pressures, deadlines, and rapidly changing situations to meet frequent changing demands for parts on the production line.
