Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, maintenance technicians, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the department budget, including capital expenditures and maintenance costs.
  • Maintenance Operations:
  • Oversee the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
  • Engineering Projects:
  • Plan, design, and execute engineering projects to improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.

  • Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance and engineering management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful maintenance programs and engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
