Senior Auditor

The Senior Auditor at Peoples Bank SB plays a crucial role in ensuring the bank's financial, operational, and compliance risks are properly assessed and mitigated. This position involves conducting thorough audits of high and moderate risk areas, including financial, operations, compliance, wealth management, and Sarbanes-Oxley audits. The Senior Auditor must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Perform audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Identify and report on control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit committee.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure audit findings are addressed and implemented.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure the bank remains compliant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of internal audit experience in banking and/or financial services.
- Professional certification such as CBA, CFSA, CIA, CRP, or CPA is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
