About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team at K&A Appliance Inc. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing major household appliances in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers' homes
  • Assist with service repairs in our warehouse when needed
  • Prepare invoices and collect payments on completed service calls and any parts or additional labor costs from customers
  • Maintain our service van and keep it stocked with parts used on a regular basis
  • Communicate effectively with our Service Coordinator regarding service calls and any issues that arise
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing/repairing major household appliances as a full-time employed technician
  • A clean and valid driver's license
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs on their own, lift more weight with assistance or leverage device
  • Proficient in connecting water and gas lines and checking for leaks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Mechanical skills and a willingness to learn new things
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond in a professional and courteous manner in all situations
