Position Overview :
The Family Care Specialist is responsible for collaborating with legal guardians to deliver Triple P (Positive Parenting Program-Level 4) parent education and working directly with adolescents and teens to provide Aggression Replacement Training. This role involves engaging children and youth from diverse backgrounds, including those from the juvenile justice system, in enriching activities that foster emotional and developmental growth. Key responsibilities include: Developing tailored service plans for each family. Delivering approved skills curriculum to clients and families to address specific needs in various settings. Conducting reassessments of the child and family's needs every 90 days to adjust service plans accordingly. Coordinating services with members of the treatment team. Supporting families in accessing financial assistance or services for which they may qualify. Assisting in the planning and execution of activities, actively participating with children and youth as needed. Providing education and modeling for social skills development. Fostering therapeutic relationships that encourage personal growth and independence among children and families. Ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures. Maintaining accurate records and fulfilling all documentation requirements of the agency. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field or education. At least one (1) year of experience in a therapeutic, child welfare, or juvenile justice environment with children and adolescents is preferred, though other candidates with relevant education or experience may be considered. Training in Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Aggression Replacement Training (ART) will be provided. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities : Familiarity with social work practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain a professional and confidential work environment. Experience working with culturally diverse populations. Flexibility to work varying hours based on client needs. Work Environment : Hybrid setting: Office and community environments. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Frequent travel required (reliable transportation and valid Texas Driver License necessary).
