Electrical Engineering Internship Opportunity in Electronics Manufacturing

Job OverviewThe intern will work closely with seasoned engineers to enhance production processes and assist in new research and development activities. This fast-paced environment provides opportunities for learning around every corner. The intern is usually given one significant project and asked to support side projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to identify cost-saving improvements
- Revised bill of materials (BOMs) to alter materials and production workflows
- Modify schematics and electrical drawings to generate new production designs
To qualify for this internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled in Electrical Engineering at an accredited university
- Fully proficient in Altium for schematic and layout design, and Gerber generation
- Understanding of the printed circuit board (PCB) design process
- Version control, database, and Autocad experience a plus
- Working knowledge of modern automated manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Familiarity with electronic components functionality and packaging
- Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics, and electronic circuits
- Strong programming background, preferably with Python experience
- Familiarity with modern test equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Magna-Power Electronics is committed to providing a competitive salary for this role. We estimate the annual salary to be between $65,000 and $85,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
