Job Description

The Metal Fabrication Specialist will perform a combination of assembling and finishing of various metal and plastic machined components according to company specifications.

  • Fabricate aluminum, copper, steel, and plastic parts for power supply units using hand and power tools.
  • Grind, file, or deburr surfaces of parts using various methods and equipment.
  • Prepare parts for powder coating including washing and masking based on company specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC punch presses and press brake.
  • Pemm component parts based on company specifications.
  • Read work orders and follow bill of materials and bill of operations.
  • Set up and assemble heat sinks while working with the robotic arm.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role.
  • Good mechanical aptitude using hand and power tools.
  • The ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Knowledge of operating CNC machines and associated measurement tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings, and other related manufacturing documents.
