About the Position:

The Residential Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role involves assisting with daily living skills, promoting independence, and ensuring the overall well-being of the individuals in care.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. A valid driver's license and good driving record are also required.

The Residential Assistant Manager will work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and supportive environment for the individuals in care. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, such as grooming, toileting, and showering
  • Promote independence and self-advocacy among individuals
  • Ensure the overall well-being of individuals in care, including their physical and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive environment
  • Document observations and outcomes in a computer documentation program
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to become certified in AMAP, Standard First Aid/CPR, and SCIP-R
