Job Title: 1st Shift Stand Up Forklift Operator

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our team at Carl Buddig & Company.

Job Summary:

The 1st Shift Stand Up Forklift Operator is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner. This includes identifying and making up orders off a pick sheet, ensuring that outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage, and maintaining a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic and following standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and make up orders off a pick sheet
  • Ensure that outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage
  • Pick and stage outbound shipments
  • Stage a trailer to ensure that shipments are loaded properly and maximum loads are achieved
  • Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic and following standards and procedures
  • Accomplish warehousing and organizational mission by completing related results as needed
  • Use scanner in the correct manner to properly scan and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Complete necessary forklift maintenance and associated reports to ensure maximum forklift performance and overall plant safety
  • Participate in monthly inventory process
  • Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less and be able to lift up to 35 pounds for 30 minutes at a time
  • Must be flexible and able to work as needed
  • Must be willing to work within the two businesses (OW and CBC)
  • Must be able to work in a high-speed environment
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week and work mandatory overtime if necessary, including weekends
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
