Material Handler/Forklift Driver Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Forklift Driver to join our team at Carl Buddig & Company. As a Material Handler/Forklift Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to transport meat baskets to packaging lines
  • Reweigh meat baskets and return them to the cooler as needed
  • Complete audits of rework vats and wrap and secure them properly
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and ensure a safe working environment
  • Deliver supply boxes and empty pallets to packaging areas as needed
  • Remove full pallets from packaging lines and scan and wrap them
  • Deliver pallets to shipping areas using a forklift
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age and able to legally work in the United States
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Prior experience operating a stand-up forklift preferred
  • 2 or more years of related work experience preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
  • Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
