Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Test Engineers for a contract opportunity. The role involves supporting dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.


Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for executing test scripts to verify Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in the Space domain. The role requires:

  • Support for on-site testing operations.
  • Execution of detailed test scripts.
  • Collaboration with engineering teams to ensure compliance with requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must possess:

  • A BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or a High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant military experience in sensor systems, ideally RADAR, or defense industry experience in similar roles.
  • A willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience with RADAR and/or Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) integration and testing.
  • Familiarity with Space Payload or Space Vehicle integration and testing in clean room environments.
  • Programming skills in C or MATLAB for code understanding and enhancement.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Tcl for script improvement.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.

Education Requirements:

A High School Diploma is mandatory, and the educational institution must be accredited.


Work Schedule:

This position operates on a 9/80 workweek and is 100% on-site. Candidates must be prepared to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends for several months continuously.
